But here's the twist: While AI is often praised for its efficiency, when it comes to matters of the heart, many believe it falls short. Residents of Tunbridge Wells and Greater London shared their thoughts, revealing a strong preference for heartfelt, personal messages over AI-generated ones.
Jacqueline McKenzie firmly stated that she would never use AI for such an intimate task, emphasizing the importance of authenticity. And Liam Goodhew expressed that his partner deserves more than a computer-generated letter, as it lacks the emotional depth that comes from the heart.
Is AI too cold for love?
Reza Jafary, also from Tunbridge Wells, believes Valentine's Day messages should be heartfelt, not computer-generated. This sentiment is supported by Dr. Scott Claessens, who highlights that people judge not only the end product but also the process behind it.
Dr. Jim Everett takes it a step further, suggesting that using AI for social interactions could lead to being judged as less caring. He argues that AI cannot replace the effort and investment required in building meaningful relationships.
