Japan's political landscape is undergoing a dramatic shift as Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi takes a bold leap into the unknown with a snap election. This move is a high-stakes gamble, and the outcome could shape the future of Japanese politics.
With nearly 4.6 million early voters already casting their ballots, the election is off to a promising start. However, a slight decline of 2.5% from the previous election in 2024 has been noted, attributed to the challenging weather conditions in the northern and western regions.

Despite her traditional views on gender and family, Takaichi has surprisingly gained immense popularity among young voters aged 18 to 30. Polls reveal that her approval ratings have consistently remained above 70% since she took office in October.
